How often should I clean my Leather Furniture?

We recommend cleaning your leather furniture every six months because of the following common soiling problems.

  • Oils and Grease: Body oils from Humans and Pets hold on to leather, Body oils are easily transferred to the arms and headrest cushions of your leather furniture and can cause serious damage to the protective finishes found on leather.
  • Atmospheric Soils: Consider the buildup of dust on coffee tables in your home the same kind of dust is being deposited on your leather. In addition to this dust heating and cooling your house airborne cooking oils, pollution also attached to your leather furniture.
    • Soils and Stains: Dirt tracked from outside along with sand and fibers from plants brought into your home by yourself, visitors and pets.
    • Dyes and Inks: Ink from newspaper dyes from pants specifically Denim Jeans can transfer onto the leather which we call dye transfer. Additionally the risk of ink from an aspiring toddler or an accident from a leaky pen.
